First, a little history …
“Spellbound” was founded by Pete Austin out of a moment of DJ frustration ... He used to work for agencies …
“Sometimes the information given was so brief I could have written it on the back of a postage stamp ! Having worked for agencies for years I found a real inconsistency in the way I was treated and I felt this must be the experience of the customer too.”
So, in 1998 Pete decided to apply some much needed customer service professionalism to the industry and form his own agency.
Ever since, "Spellbound" has been giving attentive customer service from the initial enquiry till ‘lights out’ at the end of the party.

- We only use the best equipment that's available Yes, I know it’s expensive but have you noticed how cheap tinny speakers can really hurt your ears ? Just one reason why we use professional digital sound and lighting systems. These include reputable industry names like Denon, Crest, Martin and Peavey. All our equipment is serviced annually and replaced on a 3 year cycle. You'll find no 'beaten up, analogue dinosaurs' here ... It looks great, it sounds great and it's reliable !
With “Spellbound” the sound and lighting is focused on the dance floor where it belongs, so conversation isn't a shouting match … - We are competitively priced It makes good sense to ring around for a disco quote and that's exactly what we've done. - Spellbound offers a free music consultation with every booking You can cherry pick from our music list or provide your own selection. Choose a dozen favourite songs or theme an entire musical evening - we don’t mind !
Within our “Ultimate Party List” – you'll find most musical eras and genres ... "It's a general list so if you want something a little more challenging - just ask ! Our music library boasts around 50,000 tracks ... How much time have you got ? "
Also, if there are any songs, artists or styles of music you don't want, tell us - they won't be played ...
- All our DJ's are experienced and vetted thoroughly All our jocks have a proven track record of at least 3 years experience before acceptance onto our register. Our guys are just as comfortable playing in a function environment or a club, and yes, they know the difference !
Finally, we do not tolerate DJ’s with ropey gear or guys that ‘love themselves’ and their microphone. “It’s important to present yourself well and project your personality but on the night it's really the music that does the talking.” Agreed ?
